Have never really tried to make a website before... of course have never really blogged about anything before.
So this is the first attempt at making a website and I also made the video on the home page, it has nothing to do with kinetic art but instead on something else that I think is very interesting. Urban Decay! Enjoy! Here's hoping the links are going to work, they are cranky sometimes.

Robots
These videos are pretty amazing, it's hard not to look at some kinetic art and think of robots. I found these while searching kinetic works, I haven't been able to find much information on them but found a few interesting sites and videos I wanted to share.
This is a video of a robotic amphibious snake! It moves not only on land but fluidly in the water as well.
Robotic bird that flies just like a real bird.
spectrum more information on robots.

Anthony Howe
Anthony Howe has created work for 17 years that responds to light and wind. These sculptures are incredible to watch, most are very complex and large designs of steel and mirrors.
Howe created his own sculpture garden where he shows and displays his works, on Orcas Island where he also lives, creating a sculpture garden .
His works are amazing to watch, intricate movements and spiraling effects of the sculptures create an almost futuristic appearance.

Martin Smith
I found this artist while searching through different kinetic art. Martin Smith is a UK artists, who attended Herefordshire College of Art. A lot of his work focuses on repetition of movement, flapping birds, clapping hands, a heat beat machine, and a ripple installation in a park that I found very interesting.

U-Ram Choe
The work of this artists has been called biomorphic, pulling machine and aspects of the natural world into one; an
incredible mix of metal, plastic, light, wood, and mechanics. The movement of many of his works is fluid and has an organic feel, while still being robotic in nature!
